In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a lover of operas and tangos. Additionally, she enjoys dramatic performances. She began singing and learning musical instruments with her mother and commenced more serious vocal training when she was sixteen with world-renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. The School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a student and professional. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the south of California. She performs solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion for performing, painting, as well as performing, keeps her active in a myriad of local activities as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing music from Latin American traditional songs, to instill an interest, especially in the younger generations, for keeping this music living.
